We work with people with learning disabilities and are a user led organisation which promotes inclusion in the community. We do this is in a variety of ways while simultaneously working on daily living skills and social skills to build confidence and ability. Some of our main projects are; running a charity shop which is set up as a works skills development program teaching the volunteers the necessary skills to sustaining employment while working through a tiered program. The Let’s Go group which meets on a Monday evening – this group utilises the community to build social skills and work on confidence concerns. The Media Group also meets on a Monday evening and they are responsible for writing and publishing the newsletter. On Wednesday evening we have a Creative group looking at alternate ways to approaching art and being creative. On a Friday morning we have a group that caters to older adults with learning disabilities, G.O.L.D , which explores issues and addresses concerns that are important to them. In addition we have other projects which we run on an infrequent basis and details can be found on our website.
