Community Greenspace have just launched a number of initial consultation surveys for play areas which are due to updated in the coming years. The list includes Green Park, Kinross.
Greenspace are particularly interested in hearing the views of children as they are the main play area users.
The surveys are available on the website and will be open until the 31st March.

Newsletter Grants
Community groups and individuals are again invited to apply for grant funding from Kinross Community Council Newsletter Ltd charitable company (KCCNL). This is the fund that has built up over the years from profits made by the Kinross Newsletter.
Deadlines for applications are 30 September and 31 March.

On 6th December Universal Credit (UC) was fully rolled out in Kinross and surrounding communities.
Universal Credit is a new benefit Whilst this is indeed a worry for many, help is available in Kinross.
Perth Citizens Advice Bureau continues to run the Benefits Advice in Libraries (BAIL) service in Loch Leven Library.

Anniversary image 100th Birthday and Diamond Wedding Anniversaries. Do you know anyone about to celebrate their 100th/105th birthday or a couple celebrating their 60th, 65th or 70th Wedding Anniversary? Children, Come along and visit the Aero Space Planetarium, the Scots Guards and try out the inflatable assault course.
Do some Crafting with Lauriston Nursery or build a den with Fossoplay!!

There is also a treasure hunt and Music Workshop.

Book a place at the Speed Crafting table (in advance) to make a decoupage coaster, paper craft flower, needle felted bee or learn basic crotchet. See poster for booking information.

Kinross Volleyball Club's application to Persimmon Homes Healthy Communities has been short listed for a national funding award. The club is guaranteed £5000 as one of their 30 finalists but the 30 sports groups now have to try to register the most votes over the next month, with the winning group being awarded £200,000 with two second place awards of £50,000.

The Cycling Without Age fundraising campaign has now started. We're on a mission to end loneliness for older people in Kinross-shire. In partnership with Cycling Without Age Scotland, we have developed a project to bring Trishaws to Kinross-shire. See how you can help

Book Groups at the Library
We currently have three book groups for adults running at Loch Leven Community Library.
Crime book Group: Once a month on a Tuesday evening, 6.45-7.45pm
General Book Group: Once a month on a Friday morning 10.30-11.30am
Café Book Group: Once a month on a Saturday morning 11.15am.
February meeting for Café Book group is Saturday 10th February.

Book group for children: Chatterbooks. For children age 7-11 years. On the first Friday of the month. Spaces are limited so please contact the libriary for more details.
