Required to work 3 sessions (each 3 – 4 hours) per week plus management responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate, caring and motivated qualified Lead Practitioner / Playgroup Manager to join our existing team of Play Leaders, Volunteers, Administrative Assistant and parent led committee.
The role is for the overall responsibility for the efficient and effective running of Swansacre Playgroup.
Including but not limited to:
Ensuring the day to day management of the playgroup complies with the groups policies and
procedures, regulatory requirements and national and local current policy
Having an excellent working knowledge and the ability to implement the Curriculum for Excellence.
How good is our early learning and childcare and Building the Ambition
Ensuring that suitable activities are planned and implemented in accordance with current practice
Ensuring that children’s individual learning needs are being met and that each child’s learning
development is recorded
Liaising with Local Authority, Care Inspectorate and other agencies as required
Ensuring appropriate Quality Assurance systems are in place.
Ideally applicants will have a BA in Childhood Practice or an equivalent acceptable qualification, experience of working with and commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children and of managing staff, preferably in a
similar childcare setting. This post is subject to a criminal record check, membership of the PVG scheme and registration with a professional body e.g. SSSC or GTC.
We would consider applications from those with relevant qualification for Practitioner who would be willing to undertake relevant study to lead to Manager position.
